Hello everyone,
I know I am super late publishing this in the middle of February, but still something is better than nothing, right? I really wanted to publish this earlier, but was piled knee deep into other works.
Anyways, let’s get into it, shall we?
1. Enca AC Drying Pinky Powder:

The first thing I have in my list is the Enca Acne Drying Pinky Powder. This is literally heaven in a bottle. I posted a short review earlier on my Facebook page (Link here) where I wrote my experience with this product. If you have terrible zits/acne that just won’t go away, then you need this in your life.
Rating: 5/5 meows.
Price: 900 taka from Korean Cosmetics Bangladesh
2. I Heart Makeup Naked Chocolate Palette:
The second thing on my list is an eye-shadow palette. I got this maybe 3-4 months ago and since then I am constantly using it. It’s a great palette for daily use and smells of chocolate. What more do you want from a palette?
Rating: 5/5 meows
Price: 7.99 pound. I got it during a sale, so it was around 800-900 taka maybe.
3. Color pop Liquid Lipstick in Tulle and Nyx Lipliner in Currant/Raisin:
2016 is all about Color Pop. I have 9 liquid lipsticks from them and so far Tulle was the most used of all in January. I have also used the Nyx slim lip pencil in Currant/ Raisin quite a few times in the last month.
Rating: 5/5 for Tulle 4/4 for Raisin
Price: Tulle: 6 dollars, Raisin: 3.5 dollars. Color Pops are currently stocked at Smart Shopping.
4. COlab Sheer Invisible Dry Shampoo in NewYork:
January was very freezing in Khulna. And I dreaded that excruciating showers. But who needs to wash her hair daily when she has a dry shampoo in stock? I loved using this dry shampoo in the last month. You only need to spray 2-3 times and you are good to go. Your hair will also smell superb, which is a plus.
I bought 3-4 cans of COlab shampoo during a superdrug sell so it was a bit cheaper for me. This is a travel size bottle but it doesn’t contain enough products in my opinion.
Rating: 4/5 meows
Price: 1.99 pounds for travel size.
5. Cosrx AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner:
This was my first time with a pH adjusting toner and boy do I love it 😀
It comes with a spray nozzle which I love and I think this will last me a long time. This is very light-weight and didn’t affect my skin harshly. It has also cleared out my pores a lot.
Rating: 5/5 meows
Price: 1300 taka from Korean Cosmetics Bangladesh
6. Cosrx BHA Blackhead Power Liquid:
Another favorite from Cosrx in January was the BHA blackhead power liquid. It’s a chemical exfoliant which penetrates deeply into your skin and prevents blackheads. It also fights off blemishes before appearing. And my skin felt so much smoother and glowing after application.
Rating: 5/5 Meows
Price: 1300 taka from Korean Cosmetics Bangladesh
7. Natural Oil Brazilian Keratin Hair Oil:
Let me clearly state one fact. This is not oil. I have searched for the ingredient list online, but couldn’t find any. So I wrote down the names from my bottle and analyzed it in CosDNA (link here). I am not dissing this product. I loved how it made my hair feel. But it’s basically a serum, not a natural oil and not organic in any way.
Rating: 4/5 Meows ( for the misleading claim)
Price: 550 taka from The Mall
8. Lailly Steam Pore and Cooling Pore Masks:
If your pores are filled with oil and gunk like I do, then you need these two in your life. The steam pore mask heats up your skin, exfoliates and cleans up the pore. The cooling pore cools it down and reduce the size of your pores while removing whiteheads and blackheads in the process.
Rating: 5/5 Meows
Price: 1100 taka each from Korean Cosmetics Bangladesh
9. Cosrx Aloe Soothing Sun Cream:
You need sunscreen in your life. It’s a basic necessity like toothpaste. I thoroughly enjoyed my Faceshop Tea Tree Sunscreen last year. So I thought of giving this Aloe soothing sun cream a go. Wishtrend listed it as a sunscreen for dry skin. I have oily-combination skin, but still I enjoyed it with Innisfree No Sebum Powder. It moisturizes, doesn’t feel sticky after application and has a spf of 50++. What more do you need from a sunscreen? You need to re-apply after every two hours.
Rating: 5/5 Meows
Price: 900 taka from Korean Cosmetics Bangladesh
10. Innisfree No-sebum Mineral Powder:
Innisfree No-sebum mineral powder is a white translucent powder that makes your skin satiny matte after application. Like all Innisfree products, it has great ingredients like mint and Jeju green tea. I used this after my usual daily skin care process with a sunscreen and Klairs BB and it still kept my face matte after 6-7 hours.
Rating: 6/5 Meows with some fishes on the side.
Price: 500 taka from Korean Cosmetics Bangladesh
11. Victoria Secrets Body Mist and Butter in Pure Seduction :
For the first time in my life, I have finished a giant tub of body butter. Yayyy for me. I bought a whole lot of mists and butters in a sale. So I can’t tell you the exact pricing on this. But they go from 1000-1300, I guess. Any US order taking page can bring these to you.
Among all my VS body mists, I love the scent of this the most. Another great one is Love Spell.
Rating: 5/ get that scent away from me woman, I don’t need your scent, I can lick myself clean- The Cat
12. Etude House Beauty Shot Face Blur:
If you read my post on this product (link here), then you must know how much I loved it in January. All I can say is it made my face selfie ready instantly.
Rating: 4.5/5
Price: 1150 taka in Korean Cosmetics Bangladesh.
Non-Beauty Favorites:
1. Black Star
January 10 is a sad day for all of us. But I can’t stop replaying this song in my phone.
2. Severus Snape School of Speech and Deportment:
Aren’t you going to miss the greatest potions master ever? I know I will.
3. Suicide Forest By Jeremy Bates:
I really liked the idea behind this series. The writer took a scary urban legend and wrote a thriller based on the location.Overall, the writing and the storytelling is pretty good. The plot was quite bizarre and fast paced. I had to finish reading within 2 days. |
That’s all for today. Sorry for the blurry photos and everything. But I have a terrible stomach ache and can’t sit still. My advice to you: don’t ever eat junk foods in an empty stomach :'(
Love,
Mehnaz
